I Saved A Life Talking About Free GPS Navigation Software

Free GPS Navigation SoftwareI was shopping at Frys Electronics the other day and came across a fellow shopper who was looking for a GPS mobile device to use. So I went with him and gave him some shopping tips on what to look for and finally asked him what he was planning on doing with it. He said he wanted something small and just needed to help with locating places near him since he was new in town. I then realized that he has new Blackberry when he got a call and pulled it out. I then told him to go to the magazine section and grab some mobile tech magazines to find some good and free GPS navigation software. He was shocked and I reassured him that spending four hundred or more dollars on a capability your phone has is ridiculous. Doing a simple Google search for software for Blackberry phones would be a lot simpler and cheaper.

Buy GPS Car Navigation For Those Long Vacation Trips.

Buy GPS Car Navigation

I was watching a commercial the other day about this semi-new feature built into new TomTom GPS devices. It is specialized for private motor vehicles and acts kind of like an OnStar feature, but I think it is strictly emergency roadside assistance only. However, I could be wrong about that. With the summer heat coming upon us all here in the United States, it probably would be very wise to buy GPS car navigation for your vehicle if you plan on doing any long distance family trips or road trips with your friends.

How Portable GPS Navigation Systems Work.

Portable GPS Navigation SystemsGlobal Positioning System (or GPS) is a global communication system that uses radio-navigation to communicate between orbiting satellites and bases on the surface of the earth. The satellites serve as a reference point between the ground stations and triangulate information to/from any part of the globe. This is how portable GPS navigation systems are able to act as real-time maps for motorists, bikers, hikers, and even marine transportation. Another navigation system that is similar to GPS is cellular triangulation. The cost difference between these two methods is uncertain, however, the most common method currently used for navigation purposes is GPS.
